Senior Accounting Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the execution of the monthly close process by maintaining the close calendar and adhering to monthly deadlines; be responsible for monthly closing and preparation of financial reports of different entities in US, Cayman and HK in Great Plains;
  • Review accounting entries and accrued reconciliations, including but not limited to cash, prepaids, fixed assets, accounts payable, accrued expenses and lease;
  • Manage the AP process including working closely with departments to check on the AP balance of key vendors on regular basis, supervision of, and leadership over, AP specialist/ staff accountant, reviewing batch payment runs, review of journal entries and related reconciliations;
  • Support accurate and timely administration of intercompany activities, including month end review, settlements, transfer pricing and intercompany cash transfers by working closely with our finance team in China;
  • Review all supplier's set up, including foreign vendors;
  • Process bi-weekly payroll in ADP, while working closely with our HR manager;
  • Support external auditors in their annual audit review procedures;
  • Become the owner of our ERP system – Great Plains and be responsible for the coordination with the implementation service provider to realize our demand in the system;

  • Work closely with departments to manage, update and review financial policies and SOP's to fit for dynamic working environment;
  • Manage and file the form 1096 and 1099, sales and use tax return, and City property tax, support annual tax filing of the company;
  • Prepare government agencies' surveys and submit the surveys in timely manner;
  • Work closely with FP&A team to support the annual budget process and quarterly reporting and analysis;
  • Be responsible for leading and improving the team efficiency by providing training and mentoring to the team to grow;
  • Ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualification:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in biotech companies is preferred;
  • BS in Accounting, CPA preferred;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, displaying a high level of integrity, Chinese proficiency will be a plus;
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects with competing priorities and tight deadlines in a fast-paced collaborative environment;
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS;
  • Great Plains experience is a plus;
  • Life sciences/Biotech/Medtech experience preferred.
